"I knew no one when I came here...and I feel like I've come away with so many friends! My people, the people that know me and can talk my language. My friends and family at home try, but they can't, they don't understand me, so it's just wonderful to be here and PatternCon is amazing! Come to Atlanta in 2026!"

"You want diversity? Show up.
I'm going to tell you, it wasn't just me. This is a welcoming space. It doesn't matter what you look like, what you sound like, who you are, what you relate to, how you see yourself...come...it is worth it and we are welcome. We welcome you in over and over again so please show up next year for PatternCon 2026."

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE YOU TO......
Cornelius Quiring
Patternmaker • YouTube Educator • Creative Engineering Whiz
Cornelius is a talented designer and educator who’s carved out a unique space in the sewing world with his thoughtful, technical approach to patternmaking. His popular YouTube channel (200k+ subscribers!) has become a favorite for makers looking to deepen their skills, rethink fit, and learn the why behind the how. At PatternCon, he’s bringing his sharp mind, generous spirit, and just the right amount of nerdy joy to the main stage...and we can’t wait!
Kenneth D. King
Couture Designer • Author • FIT Professor
Kenneth is a legend in the sewing world, known for his exquisite couture creations, deep knowledge of fit and construction, and decades of experience designing for stars like Elton John. He’s a beloved instructor at NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technology and the author of multiple books (his newest drops just in time for PatternCon!) -and yes we will have copies for sale! In 2025, he wowed our crowd as a virtual keynote speaker… and now, he’s coming in person for PC26! Don’t miss your chance to learn from one of the greats.

A Pattern Nerd Dream...
Tricia Camacho
With over 20 years of experience crafting patterns for live entertainment costumes, Tricia Camacho has worked behind the scenes in some of the most dynamic and demanding industries, from Cirque du Soleil to high-end performance wear. Her expertise in pattern making and advanced sewing techniques has made her a sought-after professional in the field, and now, she’s on a mission to simplify pattern making for designers at all levels.
As the founder of Creative Costume Academy, Tricia shares her wealth of knowledge with aspiring designers, teaching them the foundational principles of pattern making in a way that is both accessible and enjoyable. She believes that anyone can learn the art of pattern making with the right guidance, and her courses are designed to break down complex techniques into easy-to-follow steps, helping students build confidence and skills to bring their creative visions to life.
But Tricia’s passion doesn’t stop at teaching, PatternCon has been a dream for years, a place where pattern makers, designers, and sewing enthusiasts can come together to learn, collaborate, and celebrate their craft. Her goal is to foster a community that supports and inspires one another, making pattern making more approachable and exciting for everyone.
In August 2025, that dream came to life with the very first PatternCon in Charlotte, NC....bringing together over 250 pattern nerds, makers, and fit fanatics from around the world. It was a weekend full of aha moments, creative breakthroughs, and “I found my people” energy. Since then, the momentum hasn’t slowed. The response was so big, we’re doubling the size for 2026 and expanding the experience, all rooted in the same mission: to make patternmaking more fun, accessible, and community-driven than ever before.
